Great Gifts for Kids

Good day everyone!
I wanted to share with you 2 of my favorite children's toy retailers:

They both sell wonderful toys and activities...often handmade...but nothing you would find on the shelves of the big box stores.
Toys that spur on hours of imaginative, open-ended play!
The other wonderful thing is right now (for just a few more days) they are both offering some pretty great discounts!
Magic Cabin is offering on orders of $65 or more free shipping plus a $10 Reward Card!
Hearthsong is offering free shipping and a $10 Reward Card on orders of $65 or more!

And on top of that....everything is 20% off!!!
Plus if you have an account through:
ebates (free and a great way to earn cash back for your online shopping) you can receive 6% cashback on your Hearthsong purchase!
Big Crumbs offer the same thing, but a 7.2% cashback on your Hearthsong purchase!
Happy Shopping!

Have You Heard?

Have you heard of Miley Cyrus?
Have you heard of Brittany Spears?
I have...and I'm no better for it. :)
Have you heard of Cathy Heller?
I hadn't, until today, and I am SO GLAD I did!
For some reason my 8 year old isn't into the Veggie Tale CD's of her "youth" and wants something a little older than singing vegetables.
I don't think she needs to be listening to songs about boyfriends and breaking up.
What do I do?
Pull out my Lawrence Welk records?
Um no...
I'm adding Cathy Heller's new kids CD to our Christmas wish list!
Seriously, go to her site and listen!
I really don't think music gets much happier!
Enjoy!

A Good Book and A Fun Activity...

My most favorite book from my childhood is "Miss Twiggley's Tree" by Dorothea Fox

"funny Miss Twiggley lived in a tree
with a dog named Puss and a color TV.
she did what she liked and she liked what she did
but when company came, Miss Twiggley hid."

but the rains come, and it doesn't stop and the towns people need to get someplace warm and dry...where else but Miss Twiggley's treehouse. See how Miss Twiggley gets over her shyness and the towns people get past their "ideas" of Miss Twiggley! Such a great story!

Here's a great project to go with that story...(Swiss Family Robinson is another classic treehouse story)
From a company called Calafant...here's where you can find one for yourself...they also have castles, fortresses, pirate ships and on and on! So much fun!
